Pottery classes will be a series of 6 classes. The following will be covered.

Students will learn techniques associated with slab forms and sculpture with an emphasis on decoration and the incorporation of texture, surface texture and glaze manipulation. Referencing different cultural examples we will design and implement motifs from Native American Pottery to Mayan script. More>

This class is designed to teach students basic elements of line, shape, space, light and shadow. Most subjects will be drawn from photographs, still life or objects (no live models). Open to children and adults, please check schedule. More>

From the beginner to the experienced student, this class in acrylics will guide and teach students how to approach the painting process with confidence, while exploring the basics of composition and color. This class is designed for artists of all skill levels who never lost their childhood lust to "go play outside." Each class will meet at the ArtePrimero Art Studio and then venture out for a hike, with minimal materials and an expansive eye towards the beauty of the Wasatch Front. Students will draw landscape inspirations. This class is designed for warmer weather. Children and Adults invited. More>

Workshop: Adults & Children welcome

Working with the dry pigments, students in this class will make their own watercolors. Using earth tones students will make a unique watercolor art piece, drawing inspiration from Utah’s wonderful landscapes.

This class uses the periodic chart to demonstrate the origin of many of the iron based pigments.
