This figure drawing class is the perfect start if you’re new or seasoned to figure drawing. Principles of drawing will be covered, beginning with measuring techniques and ideas about proportion. We will consider some of the basic structural features common to all 3-dimensional objects and learn to use these concepts in the construction of a drawing. We will then move on to the most important structural characteristics of the human figure, including posture, movement, angle of view and anatomy. Finally, we will explore light & shade and discuss several effective approaches for making drawings appear three dimensional. Models will be partially draped in the bottom area.
